Forging Steel
2011
Bergisch Land, Germany
The region known as Bergisch Land was the cradle of the industrial revolution in Germany. Ranging from textiles, over paper, to the steel-industry – a wide range of factories and forges remain operational as part of the industrial backbone of the country. I was able to document a typical day in one of the oldest operational forges. This work was featured in the publication “Am Stück geformt“.
