























Bali's booming touristic industry is leading to an ever ongoing shift of where the current best place to be is located. Hotspots from decades and even only a few years ago are now abandoned, as new places open up – leaving behind an abandoned landscape of hotels and infrastructure. While some of these places have become hangout-spots for the local youth, others are frozen in time, slowly being reclaimed by nature, overgrowing and getting occupied by birds, monkeys and stray dogs. This is a study of a few of these forgotten places around the island.
